IT IS HEREBY PUBLICLY NOTIFIED that the following RESOLUTION was ADOPTED at a Special Meeting of the Christchurch City Council, held In the City Council Chamber, situate in Oxford Terrace, Christchurch, at 8.5 o'clock p.m. on Monday; the 13th day of October, 1919: THAT WHEREAS Section 29 of "The Christchurch By-law No. 1" provides that no dwelling-house shall be erected on any parcel of land' containing less than 20 perches or on any parcel of land that has not a frontage of at least 33 feet to some public or private street AND WHEREAS John Reid Moore, of Christchurch, being owner of part of Lot 89, Deposit Plan 2127, part of Rural Section 219, situate at the south-west corner of Edward Avenue and Fitzgerald Street, St Albans Ward of the City of Christchurch, the said Lot containing less than 20 perches, is desirous of erecting a dwelling-house on the said parcel of land, and as full compliance with the said Section 29 would create great hardship NOW THEREFORE the Christchurch City Council, by Special Order, hereby resolves, under the authority of Section 2 (2) of "The Christchurch By-law No. 4," to dispense with such full compliance and permit the said John Reid Moore to build one dwelling-house upon the said parcel of land: provided that the erection of any dwelling-house under the authority of this Special Order shall be subject to the By-laws of the Christchurch City Council now in force and to all statutory provisions relating to open spaces to be provided for dwelling-houses and for the prevention of overcrowding.
