It was related at the Prize Court that eight British officer prisoners at Yozfad, Turkey, in 1918, escaped and reached the «oast in an emaciated condition after untold privations and hairbreadth escapes, inchiding encounters with brigands. They swam to the Turkish tug jHertha, lying in the harbour, noiselessly raised the anchor and rowed Off under the nose of the sentry. They started the engines, and. made for Cyprus,, their only compass being the sun. The Court congratulated the officers and decreed the prize theirs. SYMPATHY.
