LAN HAMILTON'S ADVICE. DOMINIONS AND THE WAR. By Cable. — Frees Association. — Copyright. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Rec. Nov. 6. 9.15) LONDON, Not. 4. General Sir R. Henderson presided at a reunion dinner at the New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association. There was an attendance of 150, including Sir Thomas Mackenzie and Sir Andrew Fisher; Replying to the toast of His Majesty s Forces, Sir lan Hamilton paid a tribute to the New Zealanders' gallantry and added:— "Send a cheque if you like to support the League of Nations, but for God's sake boys keep up your musketry practice." Replying to the toast of the Overseas Forces, General Monash said the Dominions' war efforts were the greatest Imperial event in modern times. The very association of the New Zealanders with the Australians had brought about a bond of comradeship which was not going to die. The war had been a - wonderful experience for the Dominions, despite their sufferings, and it was a question whether the Dominions would not gain therefrom more than they had lost.
