APPEALS DISMISSED. Press Association. WELLINGTON, November 5. Appeals against the inclusion of their names in the military defaulters' list were made at the Magistrate's Court to-day by Glen Pollock (who claimed to be a religious objector), William Hughes (who admitted having deserted from camp, but claimed to have been wrongly classified), Alexander Fraser (who \m>tested against further punishment, ne having been sentenced to two years' imprisonment with hard labour), William Heaney (who' stated that he had broken down with lumbago while on leave, and later was afraid to report at camp), and Robert Gould (who claimed to have been wrongfully imprisoned, being the only man of the "C" class who had been arrested, punished and placed on the disfranchised list). All the appeals were dismissed.
