FIRES.
The Fire Brigade received a call to 299 Moorhouse Avenue about fi.3o last evening, a lire having occurred in an old cottage used by P. Feron and /Sons as a rabbltskin packing and drying store. A portion of the building was gutted, and considerable damage was done to the skins- in the shed by Are' and water. The contents of the building were insured in tin! Standard office to the amount of £lB5. A telegraph pole outside Tattersall's Hotel in Cashel Street caught Ore about 9.20 a.m. to-day, owing to some, fault in connection with the wires. The Fire Brigade extinguished the outbreak. ■
