NOTICE TO CORRESPONDENT. " Subscriber."—We do not undertake to glv» reasons in every case for the non-publica-tion of letters to the editor. Too many persons write to the papers merely to relieve their feelings, and frequently their letters contain exceedingly prejudiced opinions on subjects upon which they know little or nothing. \Vc object to The. ' Sun being a medium for the dissemination of matter of that description. We always endeavour to And space for a letter (1) that Is informative; (2) that airs a legitimate grievance; (3) that expresses a reasonable and intelligent opinion on any public question; and (4) that Is likely to be read with interest by our readers. If your letter found its way into the wastepaper basket, it must have been because it did not fulfil any of the above conditions—particularly number 4. N.B.—You say you sent it in five weeks ago. We forget what It was about, so don't take offence.
