The LATHYRUS SPLENDENS, popularly known as the "Pride of California," is a crimson-flowered everlasting pea of gveat beauty. It is not a novelty in Horticulture, but is little known and seldom seen in gardens, the reason being, that plants have not been procurable from the nurserymen, as this plant is difficult of propagation, either from cuttings or seed; the seeds are so often sterile. , / We have been fortunate this season in raising from seed no less than 500 plants, Which are now ready for distribution.
