NORTH CANTERBURY ASSOCIATION.
In the North Canterbury Cricket Association's competition, on Saturday, Rangiora A heat Cust, at Ranglora, by 15 runs on the first innings. The scores' were: —Ranglora 78 (Cockroft 29, Fisher 15, Hope 11 not out) ; Cust 63 (W. Sail 15, Eaglcsomc 14, Mackenzie 12). For Rangiora, Cockroft took five wickets for 27 runs, and Fisher' three for 24. For Cust, 0. Sail took five for 16. When time was called Ranglora had scored 62 for the loss of four wickets in Its second innings. Rangiora R played Amberley at Amberlev, the latter winning by 75 runs on the first innings. The scores were:— Amberley. 203 (Maskew 48, Mason 39, E. J. Rhode* 35, Morrison 27, W. Rhodes 15, Boyce 12, Marsh 11 not out).: Rangiora B 128 (Locihart 64, Hume 32, G. Humphreys 10). Bowling for Amberley, Mason took six wicketa for 59 runs. For Rangiora B, Humphrey*: took three for 29. ', ASHBURTON t. METHVEN. A match was played on Saturday In the Methvcn Domain between teams representing Ashburton and the Methvcn Club. The match resulted in a win for Ashburton on the first innings. Methven scored 129 (Fryer 45, Roll 1!) not out. Dart 17, Woodhouse 10). Ashburton replied with 180 for six wickets (Orr 73, Chapman 37, Allard 31, Bonnlngton 12). Allard, five for 58, and Orr, three for eight, bowled best for Ashburton. ■ s3
