FALSE MARRIAGE DECLARATION.
CHIEF JUSTICE'S ADVICE. Press Association. WELLINGTON, November 3. The Chief Justice, Sir Eobert Stout, to-day setenced James M. Laughlin to six mouths' imprisonment for making a false declaration to the registrar of marriages. The Judge said the pi - isoner's military record was bad. lie had been returned to New Zealand as a chronic V.D. patient. He hoped the parents of the girl, who was under 18 years of age, would take steps to have the marriage annulled.
