SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
OPAWA. The monthly meeting of the Opawa School Committee was held on Monday, there being present—Messrs It. H. Turner (chairman). T. W. West (lion, secretary), J. liutler, W. Trist, J. Pycroft, J. Farrah, and T. Adams. The report of the headmaster, Mr W. C. Colee, showed that 13 boys and 17 girls had been admitted, and 15 boys and 12 girls had left. The number- on the roll was 384. The sum of £7 10/- was voted from the prize and picnic fund to purchase books for the library. The amount carries a subsidy from the Education Hoard. Miss E. Tulloch, assistant mistress, had been granted three months' leave of absence on account of ill-health. Mr H. H. Turner and Mr J. Pycroft were re-elected delegates to represent the school committee on the Hath Committee.
