METHVEN A. & P. ASSOCIATION
The annual general meeting of the Mcthven A. and P. Association was held in the rooms on Monday evening, Mr \\'m. Morgan presiding over a large gathering. The chairman spoke of the excellent year the association had experienced. The report and balance-sheet were read and adopted. The following new members were elected: —Messrs 1.. L. Richards, J. McDonald, D. Ncill, E, M. Watson, G. Currie, ,7. Gollison, W. J. Rushton, G. A. Wilson, A. \V. Wilson, Jno. Kcrmodc, nnd Mrs A. McKay. The suin of £7O was donated in the room towards prizes for the 1920 show. Mrs T. S. Harrison, of "Drayton," Methvcn, donated u silver cup for the needlework section. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr James Carr; vicepresident, Mr H. Green; hon. treasurer, Mr H. Green; secretary, Mr J. P. Stone; auditors, Messrs S. Smith and R. Roll (reappointed) ; committee, Messrs C. T. Jcssop, .1. Dart, J. Campbell, Jno. Dowling, J. W. Drummond, J. T. Goodwin, T. S. Harrison, P. W. Liiley, W. T. P. Lock, R. J. Low, J. T. Mangin, R. D. Millar, jun., J. McAnuhy, F. S. McDonald, A. McLcod, S. E. Richards, S. Robinson, Jno. Stewart, Jno. Watson, and A. J. Wilson. . It was decided to hold a ploughing match in the autumn. The date of the next Methvcn Show was fixed for April 15. 1920.
