The Triple Alliance has postponed consideration of a ballot on direct action until after the Trade Union Congress at Glasgow. VIEW OF MR HENDERSON. Australian and N.'i. Cable Association. (Hoc. Sept. G, 9.15) LONDON, Sept. 4. Mr Arthur Henderson, in a speech at Walworth, said the people would be glad that the Triple Alliance had decided practically unanimously against direct action for political purposes. Labour might shortly be called.on to govern the country, and could not allow a minority to dictate a programme by unconstitutional methods.
