FOOTBALL PLAYER FINED. m ISpeciai io The sun,) HAWEBA, September 4. On July 31, a. football match was played between Eltham and Stratford, the referee being Mr J. H. Thompson. A section of the Eltham team was dissatisfied with the refereeing, owing, it is alleged, to Stratford getting too many free-kicks, and in a subsequent altercation with the referee an Eltham played named Levi Bunn was alleged to have struck the referee rather severely, As a sequel, a charge of assault was preferred against Buan, and at the Eltham Court yesterday ho was fined £2 2/-, with costs.
