I-Ilingworth, PostmasterGeneral, announced in the House of Commons that the annual loss on the telegraph service was £1,000,000, and on the telephone service £400,000. The position was growing worse, owing to the additional war bonus of £2,750,000 payable to the employees. AN APPOINTMENT. (A. A N.Z.) LONDON, June 21. Dr Addison has been appointed Minister of Health. MUNITIONS VOTE. (A. A N.Z.) LONDON, June 21. The House of Commons passed the munitions vote of £185,000,000. A TRADE POLICY. (A. A N.Z.) LONDON, June 21. Replying to complaints regarding the vagueness of the Government's economic policy, Sir Auckland Geddes, in the House of Commons, said the Government had formulated a permanent trade policy in the fullest detail, and was only awaiting the right moment to announce it.
