PEACE CELEBRATIONS.
DATES STILL KEPT SECRET. Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 20. The Minister of Internal Affairs (Hon (I. V*'. Russell) announces that Cabinet has decided that the original programme regarding the Peace Celebrations shall be carried out. The celebrations will be spread over three days. Sunday will be observed for special services in churches; on Monday there will be official military gatherings; and Tuesday will be Children's "Day. It is also recommended that Saturday be utilised for the planting of memorial trees. It .is hoped that the schools will feature this.
The Government is still under instructions not to divulge the dates on which the celebrations will be held, but it has been advised confidently of the dates.
