WATERSIDE DISPUTE.
EMPLOYERS' OFFER FINAL. ACCEPTANCE ANTICIPATED. [Special to The Sun.] WELLINGTON, May 20. The result of the watersiders' ballot on the new offer made by the employers of waterside labour will not be known until next week. It is understood that the balance of opinion among the waterside delegates is in favour of acceptance of the offer. If this view prevails, the trouble that has been threatening on the wharves will be averted. If the offer is rejected it is the intention of the employers to refuse any furthen concession. They consider they have made the best offer possible.
