The attendance was poor. Giadful was always prominent in the Hurdle Race, but never headed the winner. Poitrel. was greatly fancied for the Autumn Stakes, and reproduced his form of, the time when he'defeated Desert Gold. Snub ran well for six furlongs, but then dropped back and finished last. Publican was favourite for the Doncaster Handicap, Dick -Meagher and Sydney Damsel also being greatly fancied. Neither was in the leading division, and the race proved a boil-over, the outsider Hem leading practically from start to finish. Finmark was a ti ot favourite for the St. Lcger Stakes, and Justified the confidence of his supporters. He made all his own pace and left the field standing when Wood brought him away to win easily.
