A number of racegoers of Lyttclton Were disappointed in their anticipations at getting to New' Brighton for the first raco to-day. The trains which should have arrived at port at 11.25 arrived at .11.50. The delay was caused by a wait for a goods train which was in the tunnel when the through train should have gone through.
