To the Editor of THE SUN. •• Sir, —Regarding your footnote to my last letter on the above subject. The Darfield branch of the Tanners' Union is holding a trial of tractors on ploughing and after cultivation work on May 15 at Darfield. It is for the purpose of testing the fuel consumption and issuing certificates to the competitors. As this is the first public trial of the kind in the Dominion the report should be interest: iiig to.all concerned, more-especially if all the different agents send tractors, as no doubt, they will.
