WEDDING.

The wedding took place this afternoon of Mr Thomas Charles Foster, son of Mr Thos. Foster, Ladbrooks, to Miss Freda Regina Marshall, daughter of Mr H. Marshall, Fendalton. The wedding was celebrated at St. Mary's Church, Merivale, the Rev. Archdeacon Haggitt being the officiating clergyman. The bride entered the church on the arm of her father, who subsequently gave her away, and wore a very pretty gown in a pale Paris-tinted lace frock, over a silk slip, completed with the wreath and veil worn by her mother on her own wedding day. A bouquet of 1 white flowers gave the finishing touch' to a very dainty wedding toilette. The chief bridesmaid was Miss Melba i Goodwin, two little girls, Misses Pennie! and Leslie Marshall, acting as flower girls, and sprinkling rose petals to make | a "lucky pathway" for the bridal couple as they left the church. Miss Melba Goodwin was gowned in pale blue silk with touches of black, blue hat with a black crown, and bouquet of white and pale blue flowers. Miss Pennie Marshall was in a sweet little frock of pale pink ninon, pale pink band in hair, and carried a basket of rose petals. Miss Leslie Marshall was frocked in pale heliotrope ninon, and carried a similar basket. Mr T. Tubman accompanied the bridegroom as best man. During the signing of the register a solo was beautifully sung by Mrs Hartwell Bagrie. The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a handsome set of civet furs, to the bridesmaid, a pearl and aquamarine pendant, and to the little girls a gold bangle apiece. After the ceremony a wedding tea was held at Broadway's in honour of the event, Mrs Marshall (mother of the bride) wearing a brown crepe de Chine gown, black hat with touches of blue, and smart set of furs. The bride's going away toilette was a | fawn gaberdine suit, suede boots in the Isame colour, and a chic little hat of, I green and fawn cloth. The wedding trip will consist of a tour of this island.
