RUN DOWN BY MOTOR CAR
CHARGE OF MANSLAUGHTER. Ptiu Auotiation. LEVIN, April 28. An inquest was held to-day on Richard Trechtling, who was killed while riding a bicycle in the main street on Easter Munday night, by a collision with a car. Evidence was given that Trechtling, was on his right side. The car came behind him and dragged him for 24 fecL The car driver did not slacken pace nor pull op after the collision. The coroner found that deceased met his daglh by being run down by a car, turn from the police evidence the driver of the car appeared to be Hohepa Wiremu. The latter was subsequently arrested and charged with manslaughter. He was remanded nntil May 1.
