MONEY AND MATERIALS ALLOCATED. It has been decided by the executive! of the Hospital Ship Fund, with the; approval of the Government, to utilis* the small remaining balance of the cash in hand, now that the vessels are no longer required as hospital ships, for the provision of a medical students' hall for the Medical Students' Training, Corps at Otago University. In this building, provision will be made for the installation of the latest medical appliances. The decision has been arrived at after consultation with the four centres, and it is felt that this scheme would benefit, cot only the military organisation, but also the cijfil training of medical students, and, incidentally, would prove of great value to the community at large. All the equipment which had been supplied voluntarily or hail been purchased, and which belongs to the' Ma ram a, has been allocated to the mili-l tary hospitals in the North Island, and i that belonging to the Maheno to those! in the South Island.
