FIRE AT PETONE.
GEAR WORKS DAMAGED. /’rc»» Auoeiation. WELLINGTON, December 7. An outbreak of lire occurred yesterday afternoon in the pressing department of the Gear Meat Company’s 1 works at I’etone, doing considerable damage to the two story building. The company’s own brigade and the Petone i brigade suppressed the blaze in half an . j hour, but the damage will cause some ! inconvenience for a brief period.
