THE ALLIED ADVANCE IN THE WEST.
Of particular interest during, the week-end has been the French advance in the Oise-Aisne region. Here, as in the north, the Hindenbiirg line (marked in Mack on the map) has been crossed, and the French hold, or approach, Tergnier, Barisis, (Jiiincy, Laffaux and Vailly, and are still pressing forward on La Fere and Laon. Proceeding north the line passes west of Vermand, Roisel, Epehy, and Havrincourt, east of Boursies, Bullecourt, and Moachy lit T.nna.
