LOCAL GOVEENMENT NOTICES. COUNTY OF WAIMAIM. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, under the provisions of the Counties Ail, 1908, Sections 117 to 120 inclusive, the Rating Art, 11)08, Sections IS to 51 Inclusive, and the Public Health Act, 1908, and Amendments thereto, it is the intention o!" the Waiinairi County Council, at a Meeting to he held in the Council Chambers, Papanui, on MONDAY, JULY Bth, 1918 to MAKE AND LEVY A GENERAL RATE on all Rateable Properties in each of the several Ridings of the County as follows: RICCARTON, W'AIRARAPA, MIDDLETON, PAPANUI, BELEAST, FENDALTON, MARSHLAND, and HARFAYOOD RIDINGS, 3d in the £; and AVON and STYX HIDINGS, Id in the £. Also, a uniform fee for the removal of NIGHTSOIL on all Rateable Properties in the Sanitation Area as defined in By-law No. 2 of the Waimairi County Council, as under:—BELFAST, 15'- per pan per annum; PAPANUI, Hi G per pan per annum; RICCARTON, FENDALTON, WAIRARAI'A, and MIDDLETON RIDINGS, 18 - per pan per annum. Also, in accordance with a Resolution of the Waimairi County Council, an Annual Charge for inspection of 10 - will be made on all Septic Tanks under the jurisdiction of the said Council. And in compliance with a Special Order of the Christchurch Drainage Hoard, to make and lew a Sewage Rate of 9-lCths oi a penny in the £ on all rateable properties in the Sewage Area, and a Rate of 7-lGths of a penny in the £ on all the rateable properties in the Rural Drainage Area, described as Rural Avon, included in the Waimairi County District; also a rate of 11-C4ths of a penny in the £ on all the rateable properties in theßural J*i»"wn?c Area, described a§ Ru«rt -Rjccarton, included in 44+e Wnriiiairi County District, also Goodman's Drain Rate of 5-lGths of a penny in the £. Also in compliance with a Special Order made by the Christchurch Tramway Roard, make and levy a rate of .372 d in the £ on all the rateable properties in the Special Rating District of Dallington, and a Special Rate of .388 d in the £ on all the rateable properties in the Special Rating District of Fendalton; and a Special Rate of .4.'!Bd in the £ on all the rateable propertics in the Special Rating Area of Papanui. The whole of the above Rates to be for the period commencing on the first day of April, 1918, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1919, and to be due and payable in one sum on the 17th day of JULY, 1918, at the Council Office, Papanui.
