Prix* A'tociatinn. NAPIER, June 21. The Napier Park Pacing Club's Winter Meeting opened to-day in excellent weather, with good going, there having only been a few showers for several days. The totaliIsator handled £19,100. an increase of £5978 on the figures for (he corresponding day last year. There was a very good attendance, which was responsible for the bigger betting. During the day there were two mishaps. In the second race Waioture fell with E. Copestake, who sustained a broken collarbone. The horse was not injured. The ntlur mishap was in the big event, at the conclusion of which the aged gelding Braeburn, who ran a great race, fell down dead.
