MINING ACCIDENT.
BODY OF MANAGER FOUND. By Cable. — Tres* Association. — Copyright. (Wee. June 22, 10.1)0) BRISBANE, June 22. The body of Mr W. Barnes, manager of Wright's Colliery, has been found in the mine. He was evidently drowned. The other man (A. Dredge) is still missing. [A message published yesterday stated: — While about IK) men were working in a tunnel, 600 ft deep, in Wriglfl's Colliery, Tivoli, a sudden rush of water occurred. Rescue work was continued all day. Five men were taken to the hospital. The manager (Mr \V. Barnes) and Mr A. Dredge were entombed while endeavouring to rescue their comrades, but survived.]
