REDUCED RATIONS. (A. & N.Z.) AMSTERDAM, June 20. The "Cologne Gazette" foreshadows a reduction of the German bread ration until the harvest; thus Germany will be unable to relieve the Austrians' necessities. GENERAL STRIKE ANTICIPATED. (A- & N.Z.) ZURICH, June 20. Owing to the reduction of the bread ration, many workers refuse to work. A general strike is anticipated, and the situation is of the gravest description. There is a shortage of bread in the provinces of Northern Bohemia, and the Tyrol 'has been without bread for a fortnight. STRIKE IN AUSTRIA. (Renter) LONDON, June 21. Over 100,000 workers have struck at the Vulcan Arsenal and Warschalowaki aeroplane works, in Vienna. Riots have occurred in many suburbs.
