BURGESSES' ASSOCIATION.
NORTH NEW BRIGHTON. The quarterly meeting of the North New j Brighton Burgesses' Association was held in J the Life-Saving Pavilion, North Beach, on i Wednesday evening, Mr Gilbert Burns, president, in the chair. Correspondence was received from the Hcathcote County Council, stating that the matter of repairs to Waiuoni Road had been ; referred to the Works Committee. The' Mayor (Mr F. Kibblewhite) forwarded corre- ! spondence received from the Hon. G. \Y. Russell relative to increased payment to! the North Reach postmistress. It was con- i sidered satisfactory, and it was decided to thank the Hon. (~ W. Russell and the depu- j tntion which waited on him. It was decided to urge the Borough Coun- i oil to put in hand repairs to Palmer's' Road. General approval was expressed of the conveniences erected at the North Beach, 1 and the following resolution was carried:—l "That this association expresses its thanks] to the Borough Council for the conveniences erected, and hopes that shortly similar con- j veniences will he provided in other parts I of the borough."
