LINCOLN.
Mr J. G. Scott, the popular Fields Inspector of the Agricultural Department, who has been stationed at Lincoln for the past 14 years, has received notice of his transfer to Tie Blenheim district. A meeting was held at Lincoln nt which it was decided to entertain Mr and Airs Scott at a social gathering, and the following committee was elected to make the arrangements and canvass for subscriptions:—Mr R. bl. Alexander, chairman; Air A. Cookson, secretary; Rev. Mr Paterson, Messrs T. Vogan, R. McCartney, F. Hubbard, G. Stoddart, J. Pearson, W. Bartrain J. IT. Rcstall, and J. Simpson.
