Mr R. Houghton, third engineer of the To Anau, and Mr W. Williams, third engineer of the Rosamond, have exchanged positions. Mr K. H. Neale, extra purser on the Riveriua, has come ashore. Mr A. Smith has signed on the Rosamond as purser. The Monowai, which will he laid up at Suncdin next week for the purpose of her annual survey, is to have her place in the East Coast service taken hy the Tarawera. The Rosamond, which has been detained at Wellington owing to unfavourable weather conditions, arrived here yesterday afternoon, and sails to-day for Timaru and Oamaru. The ferry steamer Mararoa wil be clocked at byttelton about 2 a.m. on Monday for the purpose of being cleaned and painted. She will come out of dock at 4 p.m. the same day and take up her usual running. The Whangape did not get away yesterday, as expected, but wil! sail this evening ■with a full load of produce for Auckland. The Kinl, with general cargo, leaves for "Westport this afternoon, and is expected to reach her destination on Sunday, whence she departs on Monday for Bluff and Dunedln. The Storm, which berthed at Lyttelton at ■JT.4O yesterday morning from Dunedin and Timaru, left at night again with general cargo for Wanganui.
