KAIAPOI BOROUGH COUNCIL.

The Kaiapoi Borough Council met iast evening, there being present—The Mayor (Mr J. H. Blackwell), and Messrs H. Mcintosh, A. Blakcley, J. W. Crawshaw, R. Dunn, L. C. B. Fuldseth, J. W. Barnard and J. Bryden, Correspondence was received from the Telegraph Department stating that the footpaths would receive immediate attention. The Ranginra County Council wrote agreeing to a conference on the stale of the Cam bridge to be held on June 27. The tender for felling and cording wood at Hie beach was let to Jones and Kendall at 9/9 a Cord. The financial report showed receipts £7O 16/10-, expenditure £SB 0/11. There was a debit balance at the hank of £ll3 11/7. Accounts amounting to £72 12/5 were passed for pay me ill.
