CIVIL SITTINGS. His Honour Mr Justice Herdman presided at a civil sitting of the Supreme Court this morning. A MILKING AGREEMENT. In the ease of Farrell v. "Wilson, a breach of a milking agreement, Air Sargent appeared for the plaintiff and Mr S. G. Raymond, K.C., for the defendant. Mr Raymond explained that, in November last, all questions relating to facts were referred to the Registrar, who was to make the necessary inquiries, take any accounts arid report to the Court. The question of costs was reserved. Evidence had been taken before the Registrar in April and May. The amount found in favour of the" plaintiff was £2OO 0/2, aud in favour of Wilson £434 15/10, leaving a balance in favour of Wilson of £228 15/8. Mr Raymond asked for judgment accordingly, which was granted, with costs on the middle scale, all expenses and disbursements to be fixed by the Registrar. PETITION IN BANKRUPTCY. The National Mortgage & Agency Co. (Mr M. J. Gresson) petitioned that Alexander Morrison and Patrick MeGirr, trading as Morrison and McGirr, butchers, Ashburton, be adjudged bankrupts under the Bankruptcy Act, 1908. Mr Gresson stated that 'Morrison had already filed a petition in bankruptcy, and the other debtor had not filed a notice to defend. His Honour granted the application.
