THE ITALIAN FRONT.
OUTPOSTS DESTROYED. (A. & N.Z. & Reutcr) LONDON, April 3. An Italian official report states:— The Italians destroyed outposts in the Lagurina Valley and drove back patrols in the Upper Daone Valley, at Cortellozzo, and an enemy ski-ing party which attacked a post at 2518 metres altitude in the Upper Val Furva. OFFENSIVE IMMINENT. (A. & N.Z.) ROME, April 4. Military circles declare that an Austrian and German offensive on the Italian front is imminent. Batteries are constantly arriving from the Russian front, and enemy troons are concentrating, especially in the Lugana Valley and in the Trentino. In the past two months behind the enemy's lines at least 40 new divisions have arrived.
