The Misses Tothili are at present staying in Timaru. Miss Mulcock (Christchurch) is spending some weeks in Wellington. Mrs G. L. Rutherford (Maedonald Powns) is staying at Warner's. >Mr and Mrs Hector Smith and Miss Bmith arc returning to Wellington toaight. Mr and Mrs J. W. Pearson and Miss Burt (Dunedin) are amongst the guests fit Warner's, Mrs McLean (Oamaru) and Mrs Tonge (Dunedin) are returning to their homes to-day.

Mrs T. W. Stringer (Auckland) is Arriving in Christchurch ou Saturday to Spend a short holiday. Mr W. Smart and Miss Smart, of Dunedin, came into town last night, and left Ugain for Akaroa to-day. Miss Mabel Kent (Wellington)is coming to Christchurch at the end of the week to spend a vacation. Mr and Mrs W. J. Napier (Devonport, Wellington) were passengers by this morning 's ferry boat.

Miss Peggy Turnbull (Wellington), ■yiho has been visiting Mrs G. Helmore, has returned to her home. Mr P. Bourke, Miss Bourkc (Wellington), and Miss Fit/.Gerald (Taranaki) fire staving at the Clarendon. •Mr and Mrs C. H. Brooke, R.R.C., N.Z.A.N.S., has gone to France to take charge of a military hospital, after a term at the New Zealand Officers' Con ■vaJescent Home at Brighton. Matron Brooke has served at Samoa, Trcntham, and on both New Zealand hospital ships. Mr and Mrs Dick (New South "Wales), Mr and Mrs Wilkins (Timaru), Mr H. Price (Auckland), Mr and Mrs B.C.
