OTIRA TUNNEL.
DEPUTATIONS COMMITTEE. The Deputations Committee of the Arthur's Pass Tunnel League met yesterday afternoon, there being present: Messrs H. J. Marriner (chairman), L. M. Isitt, H. Quane, 11. Holland, W. Goss, and G. Harper.
Iu connection with the forthcoming interview with the Minister of Public Works, it was decided to ask him to meet the deputation on Wednesday, March 27. The chairman read a list of the representatives of the various local bodies who would be present at the interview with the Minister.
It was decided to appoint Messrs W. Goss and 11. Holland speakers on behalf of Christchurch, while it was agreed that the West Coast representatives should appoint their own two speakers. Mr C. 11. Hewlett was appointed to speak for the Canterbury Chamber of Commerce, and Mr E. Galbraith for Ashburton.
