The-Ashburton Miniature Rifle Club held its annual social and presentation of prizes on Wednesday, wken a large attendance of members was presided over _ by Mr 11. MsElrea. A lengthy toast- 1 list was honoured, interspersed with f musical items from those present. The I! . following prizes, won during the year,!! were presented:—Club Championship,! l A. E. Clarke .1; club 's three-shoot I - match, G. Me.Kenzie 1, A. E. Clarke 2; I sweepstake match, C. Storrier 1, F. 1.Clark 2; Messrs J. E. Allen and D.I Wood trophies (three-shoot match), C.( Simpson 1, A. Milliehamp 2; Mr H. I Friedlander 's trophy, A. McCallum 1; Mr A. Milliehamp 'a trophy, A. .1. Bush .1, A. McCallum 2; Mr H. McElrea's trophy, G. MeKenzie 1; Mr G. Hefford's trophy, K. Shearman 1; competition match (captain v. vice-captain), won by j captain (427 to HSB).
