WEDDING.

The wedding took place at the Puketeraki Church on Wednesday, October 24, of Miss Hera Merehana Kihau (Daisy) Tetau, of Puketeraki, to Mr Alfred Frederick Kihau Topi, of Ruapuke Island. The ceremony was conducted by the Rev. E. J. NeilL The bride was given away by her mother. The bride's dress was of white charmeuse, with handworked pink rosebuds, and veiled with ninon and real lace, with pearl trimmings. The dress was the gift of her uncle, Mr C. Parata, M.P. The bridesmaids were Miss Kuini Tetau and Miss Nina Kihau, Miss Paui Tetau, and Miss Nani Ellison. Miss Tetau and Miss Kihau wore pale pink satin, relieved with pale blue, and hats of pink, with a touch of black silk. Miss Taiaroa and Miss Ellison were frocked in sky blue, with a touch of pink, and hats of blue, relieved with a pink flower. All carried bouquets. The train-bearers were Mihi Tetau and Reina Whaitiri. The former wore white satin, relieved with pink, and hat of white, with a touch of pink, and the latter wore white satin, relieved with pink, and hat of white, with a ' touch of pink. The best man was Mr Prank Gilroy, of Bluff. The bridegroom and best man are Main Body men. The groomsman was Mr Wiwi Taiaroa, of Taiaroa Heads. After the ceremony, the guests were received by Mrs Tetau and Mrs Topi, in the Puketeraki Hall, which was tastefully decorated in white and heliotrope lilac, with bunting and greenery: Mrs Pani Tetau was charmingly dressed in black silk, handworked with real lace, and-relieved with a touch of old gold, and a black picture hat, relieved with handworked pink trimming and white osprey. Mrs Topi was frocked in a pretty grey, trimmed with black silk, black hat, relieved with purple flowers.
