MISSING ONES AT AUCKLAND. Prist AnsoeiationAUCKLAND, October .10. The mystery attaching to the disappearance from Dunedin on October 10 of a man and young girl, whose clothing was found on the beach, has been solved by the Auckland police. A married man named Henry Voung, a labourer, aged 34, was arrested on Monday on a charge of wife desertion and to-day was remanded to Dunedin. The girl, who is barely 17, in a statement to the police, said that Young and she, after leaving the clothes on the beach, travelled by stages to Auckland under assumed names and since their arrival here last Wednesday had lived as man and wife. The man obtained employment in the eify, but on Monday surrendered to the police.
