The first meeting of the newly appointed Spreydon Domain Board -was held in the Coronation Hall, Mill Eoad, when the following were "present:— Messrs K. G. Thomas, E. Nairn, W. G. Smith, H. E. Gott, G. H.- McLauglan, H. E. Green, and A. Humm. Apologies were received from Messrs D. Sykes and J. Thomas. Mr E. G. Thomas was elected chairman for the ensuing term, and Mr E. H. Astor, was elected hon. secretary. The Hall Committee, consisting of Messrs E. G. Thomas, '£>. Sykes and J. Thomas, was re-elected. A motion of sympathy was passed with Mr D. Sykes; in the loss of his son, who had been killed in action. It was decided to have the broom cut down on the Domain to prevent it spreading. It was proposed to hold a Domaiu festival at a later date, au/l arrangements were left in the hands of Messrs E. Nairn and A. Humm.
