It is hereby publicly notified that at a Special Meeting of the Riccarton Borough Council, held at the Council's Offices, Riccarton Road, on the 18th June, 1917, the following RESOLUTIONS were PASSED, and wiil be SUBMITTED FOR CONFIRMATION nt the ORDINARY MEETING of the Council, to be held on MONDAY, July Kith, 1917, at 7.30 p.m.:— (a) "That the Riccarton Borough Council, acting under the provisions of ' The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913' (Section 18), resolve to issue Debentures for the amount of £350, being 10% on the £3500 Loan authorised to be raised on November oth, 1915, for the completion of the Electrical Reticulation system." (b) " That, in order to provide security for the repayment of interest, a Special Rata of one seventy-third of a penny be struck on the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Riccarton, and that the said rate shall, if required, be an annual recurring rate, payable half-yearly, on the 31st day of March and the 30th day of September in each and every year, during the currency of the original Electricity Loan of £3500 viz., six years, or until the loan is fully paid.
