The mootiii}' of I lie Laud Board ■which was sot down for to-day lapsed for want of a quorum. Yesterday tho Commissioner received a telegram from Mr David Sloweli stating that he had met with an accident. Another member (Mr T. Gee) is absent in the North Island, and the vacancy caused by the resignation of Mr Stevenson lias not vet been tilled.
