FIRES.
OUTBREAK IN HIGH STREET. An outbreak of fire occurred in the premises of Misses llanna, milliners, High Street, at about S.I'.U p.m. yesterdav, in a room at the back of the shop. The lire had obtained a good hold before il was noticed, but, with the assistance of some willing helpers, ii was got under centred with buckets of water, but not before some considerable damage had been done to the'sto.-k. No .lamage was done to the building. The fire started through Mime packages cm a shelf near a gas jet becoming ignited.
