MODEL PROGRAMME CONTEST. The final of the model programme contest promoted by the Canterbury Band tit" [lope tbiion took [dace at St. Baal's Hall on Monday. The two so cieiies remaining from the preliminary contests gave first-class performances. both receiving 101 points for quality of individual items. A decision on the grounds of variety and temperam-e teaching was:— A vonside . . .. 1 Edgeuare .. .. 2 The first prize of H2. donated by the C.8.H.U., was awarded to Avonside, and a special prize of £l. donated by the Rev. I'. Knight (judge), to Bdgeware.
