CURTAILMENT OF IMPORTS. HOP GROWERS' SUGGESTIONS. Australian mul X.Z. Cable Association. (Received March 13, 10.5 a.m.) LONDON, March 12. The Herefordshire and Worcestershire hop growers have resolved to ask the Government to prohibit the importation of hops. They decided that the imposition duty should be not less than 9d per lb on any imported by license. They also suggest an enforced reduction of the acreage under hops of 50 per cent.
