GERMANS FAIL TO GET GERARD.
VESSEL ARRIVES SAFELY IN CUBA. PASSENGERS HAVE AN ANXIOUS VOYAGE. Anstrahan tii! N./. Cable Association. (Received March 12, 12.25 a.m.) NEW YORK, March 11. Mr Gerard has arrived at Havana (Cuba) *in the Spanish steamer Infanta Isabel. The vessel sighted no submarines though those aboard displayed considerable nervousness while passing through the submarine zone, due to reports that Germans had told Mr Gerard that they intended getting him. A British patrol boat, circled the ship, renewing the passengers' nervousness until she was identified.
