REJOINED HIS UNIT. LIEUTENANT J. G. GREENWOOD. Advice received some lime ago stated that Lieut. J. G. Greenwood, of 54 Edward Avenue, St. Albans, who went away last February with the 4th New Zealand Rifle Brigade, has rejoined his regiment in France, alter an absence of nearly four
months owing to illness. Lieut. Greenwood was taken ill in August with ptomaine poisoning and appendicitis, and was sent to No. 5 Stationary Hospital, Abbeville, and from there on to Etaples. After recovering a little he contracted rheumatic fever, and was therefore sent on a hospital ship to England, being in live different hospitals there during his illness. After being at Sling Camp, Salisbury, for a week or two, he was sent with the next draft leaving for France, where he rejoined his own regiment. Lieut. Greenwood served in the South African War with the Hast Lancashire Regiment. He holds the King's and Queen's medals for that campaign.
