TK KUITI RACING CLUB. Press Association. TE KUITI, February 10. The Te Kuiti Racing Club's annual meeting was held to-day in flue weather. There was a large number of visitors from Auckland and the Waikato. The racing throughout was excellent. The totalisator returns were £15,879, an increase of £2217 compared with last year's total. The following are the details of the racing:— MAIDEN HANDICAP, or 75 sovs. Seven furlongs.—Porphyry, 7.2 (Deeley), 1; St. Carl, 7.2, 2; Opposition, 7.12, :!. The totalisator handled £20,439 for the day, making a total for the meeting of £37,431, as compared with £31,797 last year. WINGATUI TRAINING NOTES. Press Association DUNEDIN, i ebruary 10. The weather was showery for the morning training work at Wingatui. Ogier and Volspeil were not fully extended, but covered six furlongs on the plough in lmin 23 2-ssec. Ardenvhor and Sedd-el-Bahr ran seven furlongs in lmin 33sec without trouble. Baron Norlhburn finished better than Baritone at the end of six furlongs run in lmin 22sec. Glensponse ran six furlongs in lmin l!)sec, but did not finish up too full of running. Speedometer and Lady Superior ran four furlongs, taking 52 2-ssec. Lady Kyle and Gunshy covered half a mile on the plough in 52sec. Golden King got over a good halfmile on the outside of the course proper in 52 2-sscc. Sir Malt went the same distance on the plough in 52see. Rorke's Drift, after cantering, covered a circuit in 2min 22sec; the last mile took lmin 53 2-ssec. Peerless .shaped better than Glenthorpe over the hurdles. Hot Air and Lady Trent ran five furlongs in lmin 61-ssec; the former doing the better of the two. Palamon covered six furlongs in lmin 25sec. John Barleycorn and United Service were not fully extended, but did seven furlongs in lmin 37 4-ssec.
