ELMWOOD SCHOOL.

The annual distribution of prizes won by pupils of the Elnvwood School t(X)k place at the Rugby Street' Methodist Schoolroom last evening. The chairman of the School Committee XMr W. Jones) presided. The principal speaker of the evening was Mr L. M. Isitt, M.P., who presented the prizes. Addresses were also delivered by the chairman and by the Rev. S. Lawry. During the evening the head master (Mr Sinclair) read the school roll of honour, comprising eighty-eight ex-p'jpils who had volunteered and had been accepted inactive service.
