Pursuant to Section 12 of "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913," I hereby give notice that at a Poll of Ratepayers of the Borough of Sumner taken on the 14th day of December, 1916, on the proposal of the Sumner Borough Council to borrow the sum of £2500 for the purpose of purchasing the freehold of the Municipal Buildings at present occupied by the Council, being all that parcel of land situate in the Borough of Sumner containing 20 perches (more or less) being the whole of Lot 31 on Deposit Plan 3042, part of Rural Section 2, together with all improvements thereon, the number of VOTES recorded FOR THE PROPOSAL was 142 and the number of VOTES recorded AGAINST THE PROPOSAL was 7. I therefore declare that the PROPOSAL was CARRIED.
